Private expeditions · Canada
The Yukon and Manitoba, from Paris. Tailor-made adventures in Canada, in small groups, with nothing left to chance.
Dog sledding, snowmobiling and helicopter flights, between Carcross and Whitehorse.
Churchill, on Hudson Bay: polar bears, belugas and northern lights, in autumn as well as in summer.
Your contact in France, from the first conversation until you are home again.
What we believe
We don't sell tours. We design your expedition, for you alone.
Terre Nord brings together three friends and three companies who live the Far North all year round. Guides, pilots, mushers, filmmakers: we only work with people we know and trust.
Small groups, your own pace, logistics handled from start to finish.
All that's left is to live the unforgettable.
Our expeditions
Every expedition is built around your dates, your level and what you dream of seeing. These formats are starting points.

Driving your own team across frozen lakes and boreal forest trails. The silence, the breath of the dogs, and nothing else.

Racing across frozen lakes, climbing the valleys, stopping in the middle of nowhere to listen to the silence. The Yukon at full scale, at your own pace.
Discover →
Every autumn, polar bears gather on the shore of Hudson Bay and wait for the sea to freeze. Churchill is where the encounter happens.
Discover →
In July and August, thousands of belugas swim up the Churchill River while polar bears spend the summer on the coast. A rare chance to come face to face with both.
Discover →
The sky lighting up green, then pink, above the spruce trees. A night you never forget, and one we prepare so it has every chance.
Discover →
The Yukon River and Miles Canyon, Mount Granger above Fish Lake, Lake Laberge, then the glaciers of the Coast Mountains where you land. The Yukon can only truly be measured from above.
Discover →An idea that doesn't fit in any box? That is often where the finest journeys begin.

When to go
Every encounter has its window. We recommend the dates that give you the best chances, and we tell you honestly when it isn't the right time.
The team
We live where we take you. That is the difference between an organised trip and a trip you are welcomed into.

French by birth, Bertrand settled at the gates of Alaska more than twenty years ago to become an expedition guide in the Yukon. He has since built a leading family business specialising in dog sledding and snowmobile expeditions.
Surrounded by a team of experienced guides, he opens the doors to one of the wildest and most remote regions on the planet.

Kelsey is a documentary filmmaker unlike any other. Known as "the man who married a bear", he has travelled the Arctic for more than thirty years to meet polar bears.
From Patagonia to Nepal and across the great Arctic wilderness, he and his team of seasoned guides will take you to the heart of Manitoba for an unforgettable encounter with polar wildlife.

Marjorie grew up between Africa, South America and the United States. An early life that already felt like a feature story.
A photo and film producer for major press groups and Parisian advertising agencies for more than twenty-five years, she is passionate about travel and an expert in production. Today, she puts all that know-how into your finest adventures.
How we work
Your wishes, your dates, your group. A conversation, not a form.
A detailed itinerary and a clear quote, refined until they feel like you.
Welcome, guides, cold-weather gear, transfers: we handle everything, you enjoy it.
For a few weeks each year, the Far North holds its breath.
Yukon, before the snowFilm & photo production
Photographers, directors, brands: we organise your productions in the Yukon and in Churchill, from the glaciers of the Coast Mountains to the shores of Hudson Bay.
Scouting, filming permits, cold-weather logistics, equipment transport, crew accommodation, local guides and fixers, access to the most remote locations: we handle it all, so you can focus on the image.
Behind Terre Nord: twenty-five years of photo and video production for the press and advertising, more than thirty years of documentary filming alongside polar bears, and an intimate knowledge of the terrain. We know what a crew needs at −30 °C, when the light lasts only a few hours.
